Teranfirbt
I've spent about 4 hours now trying to figure out why my wireless connection won't work. The computer is an IBM T60 with a C2D, 1 gig ram, ATI X1400, and the Atheros 5006x wifi card. Regular ethernet works fine, that was going out of the box, but nothing I seem to do is getting the wifi to work. I'm running Kalaway 10.5.1 and I tried the newest BIOS, but no dice. I've tried: This method http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry238508 This method: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=23684 (Although I couldn't find the Network Configurations file...) And that's pretty much it... When I go to system profiler, it lists no information for an airport card, which is kind of weird. I know the card is there, damn thing works in Windows. When I modified the Info.Plist in the AirPortAtheros5424.kext folder it already had an entry for the correct device ID, pci168c,1014 but nothing shows up.. I did manage to get an "Airport" thing in the Network section of system preferences, but it doesn't actually do anything. I have installed Ubuntu in the past and that didn't have any issues with the card, I don't know why OSX is. I'm out of ideas, short of tearing into the thing and seeing if there's another PCI-X slot that'd work for some unknown reason. So if anyone can give me some ideas on how to get the damn thing working, I'd sure appreciate it.
