Whackintosh
Ok so for the past few months I've been thinking about dual-booting vista and leopard. So for the past three nights and days my computer has been downloading Zephyroth's OS X off of the bay, and today, in extreme excitement, I tried to install it. :C I ran the setup and got to the install menu. I was going to format a partition I made earlier, but OS X was not detecting my hard disk, a Western Digital Caviar 7200 rpm 500 GB. But, it was detecting my 250 gig passport so i went back to vista and wiped that after backing up my data. I went back to Mac and while it was installing (the progress bar was going up) I left for an hour. When I got back it said that it could not install Mac for some reason. So I tried formatting the Passport (a ms-dos format) to OS X Journaled (extended) format, but it said, regardless of what I tried, that the HD could not be unmounted. So... what should I do? The steps I've been following are: Put disk in Boot up BIOS F8 Select DVD drive -v Is that wrong? Build: Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition 4 gb OCZ RAM Vista Upgrade Platinum (detected by mac) Asus HDMI mobo (forgot what it is, M2A VM or whatever) W.D. Caviar 500gig Philips DVD drive xpress 1250 (came with mobo) so... what should I do? Thanks, Windowshackintosh Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103593-zephyroths-install-not-working/ Share on other sites
