dwbird Posted February 27, 2006 Share Posted February 27, 2006 I have a Dell Latitude C840 PentiumM SSE2 only and I have been unsuccessfully trying to install the JAS patched 10.4.3 8f111a. I have created a 12 gig partion on disk0s1 and have changed the type to af and set the bootable flag using fdisk. When I boot using the DVD it loads Darwin then goes to the gray apple screen then fails saying that it cannot find platform ACPI. Any suggestions would be welcome on what I am doing wrong and how to remedy it.
