theaelder Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 Every time I use a function in an application that brings up the OS save dialog box, it has a roughly 50% chance to hang the app. This happens in many different apps including web browsers. For example, in gmail, when I click 'Choose File' to add an attachment, Safari may hang with infinite beach ball. Or when I tell Font Book to 'Open', it may hang in the same way. Basically any time I tell anything to save or open, using the OS dialog, it may crash. The application can only be closed once this happens by force quitting, however once the app does quit, it leaves its icon running in the dock. It can't be clicked on any longer, and the application can not be reopened until the machine is rebooted.
