wwwnick Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Hi, I have installed leopard 10.5.2 on ibm thinkpad t42 (as second os to dualboot with xp) P M 745, 1024MB RAM, 160GB 5400rpm HDD 64MB ATI Radeon 9600 Intel 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI) i have installed it and now i see that it is not able to boot...it starts booting but stop on white screen with grey circle in bottom, same when I use -x, when i try to boot with -v options, it stops on "using 5424 bugger headers and 40.. cluster io buffer headers", even if i give it 4 hours...it stay on that screen. i have tried this kernels: speedstepkernel sleepkernel is there any hint what to do next? or where to start with troubleshooting? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103376-first-boot-on-ibm-thinkpad-t42/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
caai_thinkpad Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 I had a somewhat similar problem with my T43. The graphical environment just wont start unless i connect a monitor to the external graphics port. Maybe that helps you too.
