As title says,

i finally installed a workin version on my machine, 10.5.2 Zephyron, i patched audio and video kext to let it work...

now everything is workin, except for the 4 USB ports i have.

They are recognized on System Profile but when i put for example a pendrive, it doesn't work.

Any solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance!

I have exactly the same problem... USB does not work consistently.

And I see exactly the same error during bootup.

One workaround that I found is to have a USB drive plugged in before powering up the computer. It then always shows up after bootup. As long as I leave that USB drive alone, USB seems to work, and I can add other USB drives to the system. It can take a while for a drive to show up on the screen, but it eventually does.

So if you get a $5 USB key and permanently plug it into one of the spare USB ports on the back of your computer, that might stabilize USB enough to make it usable... at least until a solution is found to this fairly common issue.

I'm reading up EHCI - fast-usb mode aka USB2.0.

Try removing EHCI kernal extension for a short time. I don't know if Leopard actually ships with Usb 1.0/1.1 drivers, which I assume it does. This should take over the roll of EHCI. Result - USB more stable, albit at a (much) slower speed.

However, this is a theroy. Someone will have to take the plundge to find out :thumbsup_anim:

edit: cleaned up, spelling, etc.
