Well, i have a Acer Aspire 5040, with a Turion 20Ghz ML37 inside, 1gb RAM, 80gb HD. First, i format the HD, making two partitions. Onde, with 30gb, for Windows XP (running). Second, with 30gb for OSx. Well, i restart the PC, put the DVD in to the drive and run the install with -v option. Ok, the installer come and everithing goes ok. Select the Second Partition, make it MAC Partition, using the name disks02 (default). Select the packages (1 doubt: in CPU-Z, my processor appears SS2/SS3. Can i select the TOH SS3 Kernel?), and click to continue. Ok. Here is the problem... the estimated time, it's something like 16 hours!!!!! Is this correct? I'm scared with this... 16 hours to install in a laptop? I think there is something wrong... but i do'n't know what... If someone can help-me, thanks!!! Pericles Silva Posted May 5, 2008 Author Share Posted May 5, 2008 Remaining 12 minutes to end the instalation, the instaler hangs up.... fuc... me... i'm so desapointed with this... i can't find any solution for my Aspire 5040 work.. and the only friend who wants to help me ask for 50 U$$ to help me with the install, but the problem: i don't have a f... credit card... Jesus... this is not happening... i think i come back to Windows XP and when i have some money to spend with a MAC i will buy someone... i can't believe... with so many "Tigers" and "Leopards" here showing their Desktops, but no one can help or just put a message: "my friend, keep going... some time will go"... poor friendship... well, no problem... maybe because i'm a brazilian guy... i don't know... Sorry to make this... but, after 18 hours, just a girl, in PM, send me a tip... i'm tired...
