dgomes
Hello all, After a lot of trials and errors, I just installed Kalyway 10.5.1 on a ThinkPad T41. Not that I would (could) expect much from the Pentium 4 Mobile 1.5 Ghz on it but I am wondering if I would be better off installing Tiger rather than Leopard. I think I read somewhere that Leopard made much more use of the SSE3 instructions set, so to use it on a SSE2 with the compiler/interpreter patch would make it slower... If that is indeed true, does anyone know/guess how much slower? Would it be worth to downgrade to 10.4.x because of that? Any Ideas? Thanks in advance. dg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103203-is-tiger-faster-that-leopard-in-an-sse2-pentium-4-mobile/ Share on other sites
FrostByte101
Hi dg New to this whole Mac thing do you happen to have any pointers for installing the Kalyway on the ThinkPad 41 as when I attempt to install sticks at about 40% done. What Kernal and other hardware settings did you use to get your system up and running?
