Hello all,

After a lot of trials and errors, I just installed Kalyway 10.5.1 on a ThinkPad T41.

Not that I would (could) expect much from the Pentium 4 Mobile 1.5 Ghz on it but I am wondering if I would be better off installing Tiger rather than Leopard.

I think I read somewhere that Leopard made much more use of the SSE3 instructions set, so to use it on a SSE2 with the compiler/interpreter patch would make it slower... If that is indeed true, does anyone know/guess how much slower?

Would it be worth to downgrade to 10.4.x because of that?

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi dg

New to this whole Mac thing do you happen to have any pointers for installing the Kalyway on the ThinkPad 41 as when I attempt to install sticks at about 40% done. What Kernal and other hardware settings did you use to get your system up and running?

IBM ThinkPad T41

Chipset Intel i855PM

Graphic interface AGP version 2

CPU Intel Pentium M Banias

Socket 479 mPGA

1400Mhz
