fcollingwood
Hi All Posted this in the wrong place, reposting here..... I've been able to install Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel/AMD EFI V8. but it hangs on boot vit the grey spinning circle. If I boot using -v, I see this: I get this booting both sleepkernel and speedstepkernel. I have moved all of the non-required video drivers follwoing the instructions that came with the download. My system spec is: Mobo: Gigabyte M61VME-S2 (rev 2), bios f11b Graphics: Gigabyte GV-RX16P256DE-RH (ATI X1600Pro) CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4200+ HDD: Seagate ST3200822AS I've had a look through a few other posts, and the "Unknown SIGSEGV Code 0" seems to be tied to trying to use an Intel kernel on an AMD machine, but the two I've tried are listed as being AMD compatible. Any help would be much appreciated, as I'm sick of XP. fcollingwood
OK, I found an install guide that showed me that I need to use the custom install, so I did a few times using different combinations. It now gets to the stage where I get the white screen with a spinning grey wheel, then the screen goes plain white. Any ideas anyone?
