overflow1972
Hi, when you install LEO, you have to select the driver for the CHIPSET of your mother board. So you must check for the chipset on your mother board, and select it in "the custom installation section". bye Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103076-still-waiting-for-root-device/#findComment-734514 Share on other sites

citta.ventosa
This looks like an old topic but in case you haven't solved the problem, make sure you format the drive correctly and select Master Boot Record in Disk Utility before you install. Also make sure the BIOS is set to enable IDE and the drive is set to boot first. Hope this helps. citta.ventosa
Ok, I'm assuming you're running the same board and having the same issue after installation as the original poster. If this isn't the case, please correct me. Did you set the drive up as a master boot drive during installation? Did you also check that your drive is first in the boot list in the BIOS? What options did you select, under the Customize screen? For this board, I first tried "Nforce Test" under the chipset options but that didn't work for me, so I went with "Nforce Old".
