I'm in 10.4.3 and I'm up to the part of actully installing the OS on the new volume.

I only have one disc so I was wondering what it meant about having disc 2 ready.

Anyway all I needed was the base system so I went to customize and unchecked everything else. And it says something like:

Running Base Install Pagage Scirpt:

Then something flashes too fast for me to see, alrthough I see thw word "wrong"

Then it says something like "Installation Failed, please try again"

I followed the instructions to the letter.

Please help. Any ideas?

You can't install any of the additional software.

also did you do step 6 from maxxuss' instructions?:

In the copied Packages folder, modify the BaseSystem package file "BaseSystem.pkg/Contents/Info.plist". Search for "IFPkgFlagAltSourceLocation" and change the string value like it is shown below:

<key>IFPkgFlagAltSourceLocation</key>

<string>../../../../Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/</string>

make sure that the disc image is mounted in 1n 10.4.3 also while installing.
