Recovering files from a formatted drive

I have a regular iMac. I reinstaled leopard with a clean install, but I made a backup of the user folders. For an unkown reason, it didn't copy the images folder, and i lost all my pictures.

 

Do u guys know a good file recover for formated losts? Could someone send it to my email? (the reasons for the email thing are obvious)

It can find any kind of files on erased or damaged disks. It however costs some bucks. But I assume they are worth it to recover your lost family photos.

 

Just DON NOT write anything to the erased harddisk until you have salvaged the images.

Data Rescue II... Its an amazing app it recoverd 600gb from my 500GB drive lol (I guess everything ever written to it). The only set back is that it takes a looooooong time (19HRS for me) if you do a full scan of the HD. Good luck hope this helps...
