I'm trying to install Kalyways 10.5.2 DVD but keep getting Kernel Panics. I made sure to burn at the lowest possible speed, and the DVD has lso been tested on another PC which worked.

The hardware I am using is: Asus M51Sn Laptop, Core 2 Duo 1.66, 3gb (1gb+2gb) ram, 250gb HD, Geforce 9500GS.

The DVD boots up to the Darwin menu, asks me to press any key to boot from DVD, or press F8. If I press any key, it starts to load stuff... then goes to smaller text and finally stops and freezes, at which point I have to reboot the laptop. It stops at the part where it says OS Type: Unknown. Darwin 9.2.0...

I have tried all the switches, -x -v -f -s and also the cpus=1. There is another user on these baords that has my laptop and it works fine for him. Is there something I need to dissable in the bios? My bios does not give me many options, though I shoud also note, that this other uses downloaded a hacked bios from Kalyway, that I also downloaded and installed.

One question I have is that whenever I try to load up a differnt kernel, say I type "vanillakernel" at the promt, it flashes for a second and then goes back to saying press any key to boot from dvd or press F8 for boot options. Is there something more I need to type in order to load the Vanilla Kernel?

Thanks in advance for anyhelp, if you need anymore info, let me know. Cheers. I really want to get this installed.
