knewsom Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Everything seems to be working swimmingly after my latest install, did an all night stresstest on the CPU, and yesterday did some extensive memory tests - everything has held up marvelously! However, in my Security control panel, I checked the box for "require password to wake from sleep or screensaver", but it doesn't ask me to log in, whether other users are logged in or not. Do I need to reinstall just that preference panel? If so, how would I do that? What could be causing this? Somehow I don't think it could be hardware related. Also, my sound input is disabled, is that normal for ALC889A chipsets? Because I could swear that on a previous install, the input was functioning.
