gargar934
Hi guys and gals, I'm trying to install Kalyway 10.5.2 onto my desktop with the following specs: ASUS P5WD2-E mobo pentium D 805 processor 3 GB RAM 2 SATA HDD's (each 160 GB) ...let me know if anything else is relevant The CD loads and allows me to hit F8 and choose the boot options. I have tried all these flags to no avail: -v -x -s The issue comes during the text output to my screen (ie I never get into a GUI or a loading page). What happens is that I get a looping message to the effect of: SAM Multimedia: Read/Write failed, SENSEKEY = With some additional text and hex gibberish. This message repeats infinitely and scrolls so fast that I can hardly read it. I saw somewhere that it could be DVD corruption, but I reburned the disk at the slowest write speed (which is how I burned it the first go around) so I do not think the DVD is corrupt. Any thoughts? Ruedu
Hi gargar934 About 2 hours, i tried to install the Leopard 10.5.2 DVD by Kalyway on my P5AD2 Mobo. No luck :-( The same errors like yours appeared by me too. About 1 Week , i install the same on my P5WD2, and no errors appears. Where is the problem ? Have you some new results ? I will try again, and again until it runs. gargar934
Ruedu, Thanks for you note. No luck on my end, I always have the same thing happening with that infinite looping error during the boot up phase of the initial install. So you got this working a week ago on a P5WD2, and now its not working on your other Asus? Hmmm. Does anyone out there have any ideas on what is going on here? Ruedu, how did you you get it working on the P5WD2? Which boot options or additional drivers did you include if any? Or did it just run fine from the get-go with no special tweaking? -gargar934 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/102552-install-troubleskalyway-1052-on-asus-p5wd2-e-premium-mobo/#findComment-732423 Share on other sites
