Why doesnt any distro add complete speedstep?

Well, most distros out there add Speedstep kernel 9.2, but thats just isnt enough for me to get best performance with my laptop.

 

I always have to add the the CPUthrottle and speedstep app after doing a fresh install, maybe not a big deal, but when i run without it i get about 50 point less performance in xbench, cinebench etc.

 

Just wanted to mention this, there might be other laptop users out there who doesnt even know about it.

 

My laptop is an 1.8ghz core 2 duo and without CPUthrottle/Speedstep it seems to run at 1ghz or something all the time
