jbloggs
Hi, I have tried reading thru my guides and threads regarding installation on Leo4All but I get more and more confused the more I read. I have downloaded the Leo4Allv3 DVD to my Windows PC and will burn it to DVD using Nero (slow speed). My Basic PC Specifications are Number of processors 1 Number of cores 2 per processor Number of threads 2 per processor Name Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 Code Name Conroe Specification Intel® Core2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz Package Socket 775 LGA Family/Model/Stepping 6.F.6 Extended Family/Model 6.F Core Stepping B2 Technology 65 nm Core Speed 1862.1 MHz Multiplier x Bus speed 7.0 x 266.0 MHz Rated Bus speed 1064.1 MHz Stock frequency 1866 MHz Instruction sets MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, EM64T L1 Data cache (per processor) 2 x 32 KBytes, 8-way set associative, 64-byte line size L1 Instruction cache (per processor) 2 x 32 KBytes, 8-way set associative, 64-byte line size L2 cache (per processor) 4096 KBytes, 16-way set associative, 64-byte line size Chipset & Memory Northbridge Intel P965/G965 rev. C2 Southbridge Intel 82801HH (ICH8DH) rev. 02 Graphic Interface PCI-Express (NVIDA GeForce 7900GS) PCI-E Link Width x16 PCI-E Max Link Width x16 Memory Type DDR2 Memory Size 2048 MBytes System System Manufacturer Dell Inc. System Name Dell DXP061 Mainboard Vendor Dell Inc. Mainboard Model 0CT017 BIOS Vendor Dell Inc. BIOS Version 2.4.2 BIOS Date 03/30/2007 Memory SPD Module 1 DDR2, PC2-5300 (333 MHz), 1024 MBytes, Samsung Module 2 DDR2, PC2-5300 (333 MHz), 1024 MBytes, Samsung Software Windows Version Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) DirectX Version 9.0c So knowing the above information, 1) Am I going to need any patches fixes when installing? 2) What is the PPF iso fix for? Do I need to do that 3) To be able to boot from DVD to install, do I need to change the boot procedure in Bios? 4) I have two hard drives One 160GB with Windows Xp Home installed, and the Other 500GB formatted to NTFS, 300gb is currently free. I was thinking of using 100GB for the Mac86OS, will that be enough? 5) Since my current Harddrive that I want use is all formatted to NTFS, how do I create a 100GB partition for Mac86OS without loosing existing Data that I want keep as a NTFS partition? I'm sure I will have more question, but if someone will be kind enough to give me answers and guidance with the above question in a manner a dummy like me can understand, I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance
