pgu
Hi I too have the same kind of problem. DVD insertion is OK, but DVD access randomly hangs the computer, except if it's done from the Disk Utility For example, X-Plane Installation hangs after a few minutes. DVD burning with Toast 8 or 9 never works My system : Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 + 10.5.2 combo + Graphics Update Q6600 + Noctua12 Gigabyte DS3R V2.1 4 Gb Ram PC6400 5-5-5-15 1 Sata 500Gb 1 IDE 160 Gb 1 IDE DVD X1950XT 256 Mb with ATYnject (perfect) 500W Seasonic power (new) IDE devices configured as AHCI/Sata in Bios (same problem arise when configured IDE) Everything is running stock speed, no overclock. Any help would be really appreciated. P. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101973-dvd-causes-hang/#findComment-727746 Share on other sites
