Dhurntan
Hi folks, I've just finished the install of osx x86 on my laptop but when i have to reboot, i got a black screen with a cursor blinking... I looked a bit through the forum and it seems that I need a third party bootloader (acronis, boot.ini or grub) to successfully boot on the mac partition.. Could someone redirect me to a clear explanation of setting up a boot loader? Is there a way to direct boot into osx since i dun need dual booting ...? thesog
If you are installing 10.4.4 and don't mind destroying all partitions on the drive, you can try booting with the 10.4.3 DVD, create your partition using Disk Utility, and then reboot with the 10.4.4 installation to do the actual install. It would appear your drive has the EFI bootloader which your system does not support.
