Hardware specs:

CPU: Pentium 4 3.00GHz HT

HD: Maxtor 6Y080M0 SATA 80GB

Audio: SoundMAX Integrated (Intel 97 ACH)

--> Display: ATI Radeon X300 SE (PCIe)

Mac OS X Version: Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1

My problem is that I can't get QE/CI to work. System Profiler says Core Image is "Software" and Quartz Extreme is "Not supported" (I enabled QuartzGL using the plist for WindowServer, but it seems rather useless).

I tried using the Leopard 9A321 KEXTs, and the result is that the screen remains locked to the boot messages (or the Apple logo) with just the cursor shown

I tried using the JaS 10.4.7 KEXTs and the system locks

I also installed Callisto (ZD8000): completely useless

Am I missing something or this just is not possible?

Thanks!

It seems to be a bust. It really wasn't great in Tiger but doesn't work in Leopard.

How did you mange to be able to change the resolution. I have been searching for some time and can't find any way. I am using kalyway 10.5.3 along with a Radeon x300 series card. I was trying to get Callisto drivers but can't find any because the distro site is not working for me.

Thanks

to rollex,

sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist, add add the following:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1400x1050x32</string>

put them before:

<key>Timeout</key>

<string>5</string>

</dict>

</plist>

it will change the resolution of the screen
