I spent some hours trying to install Leopard to the HD but i couldn't so I installed on a USB HD, the reason was XPS uses sata HD that OSX installers don't recognize. Once installled without problems i'm trying to boot from the USB, all seems OK but every time I get the same message: Reboot in many languages (cyrilic included) with the mac apple on the background How can I solve that problem??? once installed should I do anything with the prompt??????? Please help. P.S: anyone succeded with SATA???? I pretty much have the same specs as you do (Dell XPS M1730). I was kind of baffled by it too... Anyway, after trying many different combinations of things, I got this to work: First you have to go into the BIOS system setup and go under Onboard Devices Then SATA Operation Change the setting from "RAID Autodetect/AHCI" (the factory default) to "RAID Autodetect/ATA". CAUTION: This could screw up your existing installation of windows if you have one. So be careful. Make a backup! Once I did that, I was able to use the Kalyway 10.5.2 install DVD and it recognized my hard drives. I was so excited. I installed it just fine, I'm still working through some post-installation problems though. But maybe now you can catch up with the rest of us!
