It looks you are pretty new with OS X.

 

It's not a shortcut (Like in windows). But think of it in that way if you like.

You can eject (umount) the drive by moving it into the Trash (The trash will change to a eject symbol) or pressing command + E.

 

You can mount it again with Disk Utility if you like

 

You can also remove all drives from desktop on Finder Preferences, while keeping them mounted.
