orphenshadow Posted February 25, 2006 Share Posted February 25, 2006 I've been trying for some time to get my sound to work, My motherboard is an Intel D865GLC with AC97/SoundMax I have found my hardware id of 0x808610dE, I have followed the guide on the site for ac97 audio, however its designed from a nvidia perspective not intel, I get this error when i try to start the process on 10.4.4 MacShadow:/System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext root# cd Contents/PlugIns/ MacShadow:/System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns root# kextload AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext is not authentic (check ownership and permissions) In the guide it mentiones that i should repair disk permissions in the disk manager, however, when i do that, i get nothing, its grey and will not allow me to. This is probably something simple that i am missing, If you could help me out, i would greatly appriciate it. Thanks.
