sureader Posted April 26, 2008 Share Posted April 26, 2008 Hello everybody, First thanks for this forum, That is for me the best source out there to find how to install macos on regular pc. I did succefully install the leo4v3 distribution on my xps m 1330, I got everythings to work (sound, NVidia 8400, DLINK internet usb dongle). But now i am facing a problem that I didn't thinks I did have just after the install, when I insert a dvd they don't appears on desxtop and for example the dvd player said that s "valid drive could not be found". I check in the mas os system information and my dvd player is recognized properly. Also on my vista partition the dvd works fine. Do you have any idea what it could be? Many thanks in advance for your help, PS: my shutdown,restart and sleep don't work properly and some of the keyboard key don't work (alt Gr, backslash, windows flag) my keyboard is swiss french one but all those problem are less important then the dvd one. sureader Posted April 28, 2008 Author Share Posted April 28, 2008 You should try to do the install with the minimum of item checked, I mean try t not install anything's beside the core system (avoid third partie driver). When I install the first time I did select the Nvidia driver and I could not boot up to macosx after the restart. I did reinstall leov4allv3 and only select the minimum and try again, I did work after bootinh up into mac os x I did install the video,audio driver and it work fine. The only problem I have is my dvd player not mounting disc and shutdow,sleep,restart not working properly and yeah on my keyboard not all the key are working as expected. Same here, XPS m1330 user here. No idea why the DVD-Drive cannot be found. Anyway did you guys use the Sonotone M1330 package, or u guys installed the drivers from the leo4all dvd itself?
