Tried different approaches but it won't complete boot up

It looks like this is it for me with Kalyway, and I'm pretty much done. I am just completely frustrated!

 

its stuck at the following lines and won't take me to the OOBE portion of setup:

 

AirPort_Athr5424ab: Ethernet address 00:16:cf:65:4c:bd

 

Just before that, it says:

IOKitWaitQuite ( ) timed out waiting to write Kernel Symbols

 

any ideas what this could mean? Please, I am desperate for some help on this one. I have reinstalled Kalyway about 15 times now and don't know what else to do.

AMD Turion X2 2.0 GHz

2 GBs of RAM

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600

19 GB partition
