Kurito
Hi everyone, I'm new at the whole OSX86-thing, but I've read into the topic for two weeks now, so I do know a little bit about it. So, here is my problem: I don't want to rely on pre-patched install-discs like Leo4All. I just want to have as many original files on my hdd as possible. So I tried to create a boot-disc out of a retail Leopard-DVD today. I used pc_efi_v8.0 on an GUID-partitioned external HDD an copied the whole DVD-Volume onto it. I then copied the dsmos.kext (I used the one from v5.2) into /System/Library/Extensions an gave it both the right ownership and permissions. Finally I removed the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext because of the HPET-errors I would get (I already tried booting the HDD and thought this would be the problem... which of course it wasn't). So, the HDD unfortunately doesn't boot properly. I don't get any kernel-panics, though, it just hangs during booting. Here is a screen that shows, where it stops booting: I hope someone here can help me.
