beton
Hello I'm trying to install natively 10.4.4. Installation using VMWare is successful but after installation i cannot boot natively so i'm trying to get mac os install natively. When i tried to install natively with -v option i get no errors but when "blue screen" should appear nothing happens. I still see verbose output. I waited log time but nothig happens. When I boot without -v option i see gray apple logo with circle. Afret some time circle stops "flushing" DVD id still reading and nothing happens - still gray screen but circle is not flushing any more. That's why I think that something is wrong with my Graphic card or maybe motherboard. I'v tried different boot options also "Graphics Mode"="..." Afret boot of installation DVD I see that my GF card is set to VESA 3.0 (NVIDIA) My spec is: AMD Sempron 2800 x64 Asus K8N4-deluxe 6600 TD PCI-E 256MB It is strange because 10.4.1 from flat image installed using "dd" method booted natively. I know that 6600 is on HCL so where is the problem? Maybe sobe BIOS settings are wrong. I looked everywhere for an answer but without any results. If someone can help me I will be glad. beton
hello I used patches described in this thread http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=9625 When i were installing it it VMWare (using physical disc) i performed all post installation steps correctly. But I couldn't make MAc OS run natively. That's why I'm trying to install it without VMWare. If You need any other info please leave request here or PM me and I will provide it Looking for help Beton Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10141-problem-with-graphic-card-or-motherboard/#findComment-63409 Share on other sites
beton
Additional info: when i boot 10.4.4 natively with "-v" option but installed using VMWare i get message: Login Window started but i still see verbose output. So I think something is wrong with my Graphic card configuration. I know that a lot of people have installed MAC OS on GeForce 6600 - also 10.4.1 works on my computer natively (installed using dd). So i think that it is possible to start Still lookink for some hints.
