interman Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 Hi I just got a Shuttle XPC(SG31G2) with Q6600 and 4G ram. I install the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD and install smoothy. I install vanilla kernal and all necessary driver such as Intel GMA video driver, ACL889x driver and all network cards driver. The Hack.int.osh start up without problem, but I get the kernel panic once I shutdown or restart. Anyone know what cause the problem? Is it I use the wrong kernel ? In fact , anyone can explain more detail about the different between the kernels? kernel_9.2_sleep kernel_9.2_speedstep kernel_9.2.2_kabyl kernel_922_modbin kernel_92_nforce kernel_vanilla_922 Futhremore, in the Kalyway install, it come with some other patches, what is these patches? Do I need to install all patches? cpus=1 flag Francais_pc_keyboard_layout TimeMachineFix PowerManagement_bundle (don't install it if you have select sse2 patch !!!) IntelMemoryController USBPCGen (fix usbehci detection problem , enable usb2) Is it the default customize selection is the best choice for the install?
