dxbydt
I'm having two problems right now. I'm running the Kalyway 10.5.2 installation with 9.2.2 ToH kernel. I'm trying to run it like I would a normal Mac to see what problems I encounter. In doing so I tried installing the games Warcraft III and World of Warcraft. Both of these are rather graphic intensive. I have a NVidia Geforce 8600gts and I'm using the NVinject 0.2.1 drivers. They seem to be working great. Haven't had any issues with resolution. I can run WoW just fine, it has no issues at all. It even runs better than it did on XP. However, when I run Warcraft III it starts up to a black screen. There is sound, I can hear the menus roll on the screen, but I can't see a thing. Now here's the strange part. When I push my power button, for a split second I can see the menu like normal, and then the screen goes black and the computer goes into some sort of sleep state. The fans are still on but the hard drives spin down and my usb shuts off. If I push the power button again, it comes back on, usb come back, and the screen lights up to the game menu. In this state it is working fine. But if i switch to windowed mode or exit the game, it goes to the same black screen again. It can be fixed by recycling the computer power button once again but only by this method. I'm thinking that the two issues are somehow related. I'm pretty sure it's not a graphic driver issue since one game works fine. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
