It is very useful for users with low band Internet connection (like me .15 kb/s). For me it takes 1 painful week to download the 10.4.4 DVD. I know that on the web there is a combo update for 10.4.1. Also I read that updating 10.4.4 to 10.4.5 requires a 10.4.3 working volume, and for some users that is painful because of the lack of spare space on their drives.
