eckythump
Hi So I finally got a great 10.5.2 installing and working great, so now I'm trying to figure out the best way of dual-booting between Vista and OSX. My current dual-boot method, is unplug one SATA drive, plug in the other! I'm not sure if this is even possible, but if I put both SATA drives in my machine at the same time, is their such a thing as a boot loader which I can install a USB Memory stick, and always boot up off the USB stick? (My motherboard does support USB booting). Also. if I put my OSX SATA drive into a USB 2.0 drive enclosure, will I see a dramatic drop in performance? Thanks in advance Eckythump Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100886-dual-boot-questions/ Share on other sites
insomnimac
I didn't notice much performance difference when booting from a usb hard drive on my laptop. You should be able to install both drives and then press F8 or ESC to bring up a boot menu and then selcting the right drive to boot from.
