CGK
Hi everyone. I've just got sound working, using Taruga Patcher, and the 9205 codec dump. Got sound, but it's choppy. When I move my mouse it gets more fluid. System specs: Using Kalyway 10.5.2, sleep kernel. (Dell Inspiron 1521) AMD Turion 64 x2 1.8GHz, 2GB RAM. Video: Ati Radeon x1270 (VendorID: 1002, DeviceID: 791F). Sound: Sigmatel 9205 (VendorID: 8386, DeviceID: 76A0) Thanx!
Lenka-Penka
it seems that you are not the only one with 9205 chip - after updating from iatkos 10.5.1ir2 with combo update from Kalaway 10.5.2 and updating vanilla kernel 922 I also have choppy sound when using VLC. When I use iTunes, the sound is not choppy but system sounds begin to sound like overdriven. I haven't found solution to it yet
Lenka-Penka
I went back to the original kernel of 10.5.1, and sound works fine now. The problem is caused by higher CPU speed (in my case it should 2.09 GHz, instead it reports 2.2). Reverting to the 10.5.1 kernel helps, although the boot time increases
