Pat Martino
Hey everyone, I'm getting sudden reboots on my iAtkos 5.1 installation. A black windows just shows up telling me I have to shut down. Nothing is clickable anymore at this point. Could some BIOS setting be causing this. I really don't wanna go back to Windows! Asus P5B-VM q6600 overclocked but just a little 2 x 2 gigs of ram but only recognized as 2 x 1 gig of ram, also in windows.. Why anyone?? just the onboard video intel 3000 something. I bought a HD 2600 XT but no luck yet installing so stuck in 1024 x 768 mobilepre usb working out of the box Kalyway updater to 10.5.2 which supposedly would make my new GPU usable didn't work for me, as the 'authentication could not be checked'. So i went off to the pirates and i'm in negotiation about 10.5.2 cd by Kalyway. As you can see, major troubles! Plz help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100711-sudden-reboots/ Share on other sites
knewsom
sounds to me like you got some bad ram, or bad ram slots, homie. not sure if your bios has any sort of tests you can run on it. Pat Martino
Thanks for the input! I didn't find any tests or what not browsing through all the menus. Currently installing xp again, i'm sick of the hacking and need to finish a paper. Will try again in the future with the new kalyway and maybe improved memory. Mac os is just so much better than windows... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100711-sudden-reboots/#findComment-718297 Share on other sites
