Dave009
I've been trying to fully update my Dell Inspiron 1520 to Leopard 10.5.2. I had done it once, with working sound, graphics, but messed it up trying to get sleep/restart/shutdown and my battery meter working. Now, as I'm trying to update once again, whenever I update to 10.5.2, following netkas' solution, I lose my keyboard and trackpad. I've tried replacing my PS2controller kext with ones linked to in the genius bar, a smbios kext from here http://my.macdotnub.info/content/view/19/26/. When I restore my ACPIPlatform kext as a comment on netkas' blog mentions, it messes up my entire install. Does anyone know the proper way to upgrade to 10.5.2 while keeping the laptop keyboard and trackpad? Thanks.
fassl
Put ACPIPS2Nub.kext into AppleACPIPlatform.kext/Contents/PlugIns/
