Restart while darwin booting loads

hi.

i have intel P-IV 2.6ghz

512MB ram

and a mercury hard disk

i tried to install both xp and mac leopard 10.5.1 by kalyway on my pc

xp installed perfectly but while going on with installation of mac, it starts loading the files while booting and it displays an error

System config file '/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

 

can u plz tell me any solution
