MarquiS Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 hi ( sorry my english is bad) ok here is my question how to correct permission / ownership on single user mode (-v -x -s) i installed 10.4.4 successfull over 10.4.3 but after installing no mouse moving is possible after boot an error message pops off with error ApplePS2Controller.kext can´t load ok i check in terminal with command kextload and become an error "check ownership / permissons in single user mode (boot -s) /sbin/mount -uw / chown -R root:wheel /system/library/extensions/appleps2controller.kext chown -R 755 ..... kextload prints error again now i will copy this kext from my 10.4.3 cd on my system partition. how to mount cdrom in singel user mode ? mount -t 9660 /dev/disk1 /cdrom (/cdrom i have mkdir ) print error to can i perform commands in singel mode ? i think i can´t ... pls post any key-commands to get finder menu alt+1 or strg+m or so ^^ to work osx without mouse to check permissions an other way mayn thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10032-a-few-linux-command-questions/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
ampTK Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 If you're having problems, you can Repair Permissions with Disk Utility from a OS X installation DVD.
