kempfi
hi, i'm stuck with the kalway mac os on my notebook :-( installation worked fine but when i start up the system it stops after a few seconds. the display shows a silver background with the apple logo and a rotating "thing" below but then nothing happens. no reboot, no correct startup, just nothing. when boot -- f8 -- -s it says that "errors encountered during startup" which is followed by a black screen with status information. after 2 seconds it says "mac framework successfully initialized" then "using 2621 buffer headers and 2621 cluster IO buffer headers" and then it stops. any ideas what i can do? so far, i didn't try any other releases, but are downloading them. i'm pretty curious that the installation worked quite well and the problems occure during startup. i searched the forum but didn't find any help (perhaps i didn't search the right search terms...). my hardware is: notebook, acer travelmate 662lci, intel celeron 1,5ghz, 512mb ram, 100gb hdd, integrated graphics; looking forward to get that thing running, thanks in advance for your help, mario Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100226-startup-problem-kalway-152-on-acer-travelmate-662lci/ Share on other sites
