Acidic Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 hey guys, just bought a new rig, trying for my first time to install mac os x kalyway 10.5.1 on it. ASUS P5W DH Deluxe EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA 3.0 gb/s Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 80 gb/s IDE LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA so far ive installed kalyway dual booting off the seagate barracuda 80 gigs, which didnt work for some reason. Now ive tried booting off two drives, the 80 gig ide with xp on it, and the 500 gig with mac on it. kalyway installed perfectly, but i couldnt boot up on it. acronis said the drive had a unsupported format and os on it. Soooo I reformated it yet again, this time with acronis, and formatted it as a primary partition, had the kalyway install dvd format it as mac os x journaled then installed. Well, when i go and attempt to boot off it in the Acronis OS selector, I get a unknown error message. I really want to try and get this working...... I want to follow a guide for dual booting step by step and get this working. Any suggestions for my problem? suggestions for a good dual booting guide? suggestions for ANYTHING AT ALL that will help me... please...
