Jesse Baker
Ok my very first post here. I just "got" the Kalyway 10.5.2 Leo install dvd. booted off the cd from an Lite on IDE DVD drive. Used a WD SATA 150gb internal drive. My system is the EVGA 680i (122-CK-NF68-T1) I also have the XFX 8800GTX, 2x1GB of OCZ 1066mhz memory and the Intel Core2duo E6600. PSU is a Silverstone 750W. I had tried several times to get OS X on the computer. I did at one point get Tiger 10.4.1 to install but with no sound, no video and no network it was pointletss. with the new install. no kernel panics. install went very smoothly I didnt have to use any boot kernels or anything. took about 30 minutes to install on a freshly formatted Mac OS Journaled and there it was. 10.5.2 in all its glory running at 1024x768 on a Dell 30".... looks terribly btw. found this site downloaded the NVinject G80 drivers and that cleared that issue. now running 2560x1600 the only other issue I had was the Ethernet controller would not work. I went to the Apple store and bought the $29.99 mac USB to Ethernet plug and it worked flawlessly. the onboard audio works just fine. I do have a Creative X-Fi xtreme gamer that was not supported but otherwise no issues at all! extremeae
Nice, happy for you, can you boot without DVD? I'm still stuck on that problem =p. My 10.5.2 booted without the DVD. I am not sure why some people are not able to boot without the DVD in the drive.
