I read a ton in the forums so far, but have not been able to find an answer to this question.

I have a 7300GS and an 8600GT. I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 distro and then reinstalled the newest 10.5.2 distro. My card(s) are recognized right off the bat, if I goto the system details the OS sees my card. However I can't get both monitors to be recognized.

If the card is recognized shouldn't it automatically see both displays? Is there something that I'm not doing? Is something included in the Kalyway distro that I am not setting up right for either of these cards?

thanks,

JOe K.

The answer to my question was no. However with alot of research and work I finally got it to work.

I know it's hard to search these forums becasue there are so many 10+ page threads and those are hard to sift through. Not to mention there is about a 1000:1 ratio of people asking questions to people giving answers.

But here is my small contribution for all of the help I have recieved both directly and indireclty. I hope it saves someone a bunch of time.

here is the link to the kext (driver) that allowed me to use 2 monitors with my 7300GS card.

if your messing around with configuring or trying to get better functionality on your graphics card give this site a shot.

there are alot less posts to search through plus the topics a bit more refined as the site soley relates to graphics cards.

I messed around with my nvcap in the nvinject.kext. It helped me learn alot. Even if this driver does not work perfectly there are alot of other things out there to try.

Good luck,

JOe K.
