vlad1966
I think these scores are pretty good. How do they compare? I'm considering re-installing since my system doesn't shut down or restart from the menu. My monitors just go black but the Hack just keeps running. I have to hold the power button to shut down or hit the reset button on my case to restart. That sucks. I got the kernel panic when I tried to shut down after I did the 10.5.2 update (before installing the Graphics Update). I'm considering re-installing without the Graphics Update, just doing the 10.5.2 update, then running XBench again to see what performance would be like without the Graphics Update. After I installed Kalyway on my Raptor, I did johnniecarcinogen's 8800GTS driver install from this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83931 WORKED BEAUTIFULLY!!! HELP! - Anyone have any cure for the No-Shutdown, No-Restart problem after the Graphics Update 1.0??? XBench_1___1052_Graphics_Update.tiff

Affini
Let me us know if you find a fix to the reboot/shutdown issue. This is a PITA!
vlad1966
Will do Affini. UPDATE: Re-installed 10.5.1 & added NVInject via johnniecarcinogen's excellent v.33 installer (no 10.5.2 update). Here are my new benches: Cinebench R10 under 10.5.1: > 1 CPU: 3112 CB-CPU > x CPU: 5863 CB-CPU Multiprocessor Speedup: 1.88x OpenGL Standard Test: CB 6190 (0) Single CPU Render Test: CB 3112 (0) Multiple CPU Render Test: CB 5863 (0) OpenGL Benchmark OpenGL Standard: 6190 CB-GFX XBench_2___1051___8800GTS_Drivers___johnniecarcinogen_v33.tiff OpenGL_Extensions_Viewer_Test___1051.tiff
vlad1966
OK, so not sure now if I should just keep 10.5.1 or go back to 10.5.2. XBench seems to indicate better floating point performance in 10.5.2 OpenGL Extensions Viewer test is about dead even. Cinebench however seems to point to better 10.5.1 performance in CPU & Graphics . . . Decisions, decisions . . .
mdkathon
I'd consider sticking with 10.5.1 until we get some fixes for the shutdown/reboot stuff in 10.5.2. Stability is just as important as speed. ^^
