Samsung presents its 8x speed DVD drive SD 608. Being single and double side usable, it is based on the industrial standard DVD format. The drive allows to optimize the sound quality by adopting ARS (Acoustic-noise Reduction System). Controls vibration for unbalanced discs is provided - it functions automatically by adopting ABS (Automatic Ball Balancing System). Digital audio data can be extracted from audio CD at Max 32x. Soft MPEG decoder plays DVD-Video on this drive with high quality without MPEG decoder board.
