alvin777
Hi. I'd like to install OS 9 on a 10GB hardisk pulled from an iMac to revive this same iMac (it may have not made a firmware upgrade before it installed OS X, that's why it power off when the power is pushed). How do I install OS 9 using OSX86? Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65235-running-os-9-in-osx86/ Share on other sites
thestevo
Um... Hopefully I understand you correctly. You can't install OS 9 on ANY Intel based machine without an emulator. The reason being is the architectual difference between PPC and X86. Look it up on wikipedia. Tinet
Use SheepShaver for that. It was a Mac OS 8.5-9.0.4 Emulator that runs quite nice on hackintoshes.
