Thanatios
I'm tired of all the downloading. And I can't find a 10.4.6 ISO with a good amount of seeds. The problem I am getting, is exact the same I as I have with Upchuck (see first post). Really wonder why I am getting this. The errors (in -x mode): http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4396/errorwu0.jpg
~pcwiz
Did you try using VMware Workstation 6 (non ACE)? The version of VMware can have more impact on OS X than you think...Your errors seem to be related to CoreGraphics.
Thanatios
Hmm, I'll download VMWare 6.0 non-ace first thing after school. And if its CoreGraphics, then maybe there is something wrong with my videocard? I will update the driver to be sure. Thanks!
Thanatios
Well, it still didn't work. So I simply gave up on everything. Thank you pcwiz and skyhigh mac for trying to help me. Now I'm downloading 10.4.6 torrent, that isnt good that fast. For that I have a few more little questions: 1. Is there an faster torrent/rapidshare (I got premmium) download for this? If so, please PM me, I would be very thankfull. (Hope this is not illigal here?) 2. Should I use VMWare Workstation 6 to install OSX86 10.4.6? Or an older version? 3. Is there a guide out there to install OSX86 10.4.6? Or is it exact the same as the 10.4.8+ guides? 4. Is it possible to update 10.4.6 all the way up to 10.4.10? If so, please explain how. Thanks in advance!
~pcwiz
Answer to questions: 1) You can't get a faster torrent download 2) You could use Workstation 6 to install 10.4.6 but if it doesn't work, you could try Workstation 5.5 3) Use my guide for 10.4.8. Installation is the same. 4) It is not possible to run Mac OS X 10.4.10 in VMware at the moment
Thanatios
Thank you for your answers, but with question 4, I mean native. I want to use VMWare to install it native. Better explenation: I want to use VMWare to install 10.4.6 native, and then update it to 10.4.10. Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks in advance. ~pcwiz
Well, you can use VMware to 10.4.6 and update it to 10.4.10 but it won't boot in VMware anymore. It MIGHT boot natively but it is still hard to tell. I recommend that you get a stable working native install before updating.
