Guest pcharles25
I am going to just throw pictures up here to help you in finding a good board for you new guys. Pictures speak louder then words anyways. What is special about these chips is they all work with the os. And with these chips choose what ever processor you can, afford, get, need etc... Core2, Pentium D, Celeron D, HT Pentium 4 <-- the processors this North Bridge Supports If you are curious what all the intel Chipsets can support this is a great reference. http://compare.intel.com/pcc/default.aspx?...p;culture=en-US To get all these in one board the MSI 945GM3-F Board has them all, along with a 16x PCI Express slot incase you are a GMA 950 Hater

jari34
Nice I'm a total n00b here, just ordered the same board a couple of days ago, cost me about 45 bucks. I'll probably receive it tomorrow ME = Happy!! The weird thing is, the site I ordered it from said ALC883, maybe there are several revisions of the board with different audio. Azurael
Almost exactly the same combination of chips as the ASRock ConRoe 945G-DVi... But the ASRock uses an RTL8111 rather than an 8110 (PCIe-based as opposed to PCI, which is good as a GbE controller can almost single-handedly max out the PCI bus )
