alexbori
Hi, I've been using osX86 as my main OS for almost 2 years now. From BeOS, to *BSD, to Linux, I've grown into a real *nix fan over the years. Recently, i've decided to jump the gate and get a mac. I wondered if anyone as experienced tranfering system settings and apps from a PC based os X to a real mac. I've done transfers from a HD to HD but not from a computer to another. My first guess would be to use a USB based HD with a backup from my present system, hoping that Mac OS would detect this installed system... Anyone tried? Alexbori. I don't really know how to go about doing it, but when you set up your new mac, it gives you an option to transfer data from another mac. OSX86 is technically a real mac, so it should show up and work. Hope this helps!
