Hello!

Well i'm new to this forum, but it has been good help so far, lets see if you can help me out on this one.

I've just got Mac OS 10.4.7 updated from .6, all from JaS, working fine but when i install the m-audio drivers (official for this version of MacOs) there is no problem. But reboot go to iTunes and it doesnt work, its just tries to leave the sound out but cuts, iTunes goes on... slowly but it still goes on. I'm still trying to make the grafic card to work (just matter of time...). I would like to install protools m-powered and so...

My machine:

CPU: Pentium D 2,80

MotherBoard: ASRock 775i65GV

Ram: 1 Gb DDR2(400) 2x512Mb

Grafic Card: Intel 865GV integrated

Audio: M-Audio FW1814 (Firewire interface)

HD: 1x 180Gb Seagate(WinXp and Files)

1x 40Gb Seagate (Mac OS)

1x 200Gb Maxtor (SATA. Recording files)

PCi: 3x Firewire Ports

If any ideas of how to make it work? DO you now if some one as made ProTools run in a Non Appel MacOS machine?

I'll see if it improves when i get the grafic card running right!!

(sorry if my english is bad, but i'm from spain, Gracias!!!)

Just wondering, have u configured your M-AUDIO to be your default audio output? (/Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup)

Yes, but the odd thing is when i log in a msg pops up, something like: The Firmware is updating. Well i know that i have the latest installed from windows (firmware isn't it like the software in the machine or something like that?). but well its stays there forever.

Today i'm gonna try finxing some other problems, see if it improves the running of the system & the sound interface.

If anyone has any ideas?

Thanks

i have a similar problem with my Edirol FA101 ( firewire )

If i use this my ableton totaly hangs like on a 400mhz mashine.

With the internal Realtek my notebook runs "perfectly".

With minimum the same Performance as in windows. But if i use the FW audio interface under

OsX86 it is hanging and glitching.

So o think this could be a problem of the ACPI support ? Under windows i got the same "failure"

if i install my notebook as an Standard PC in non ACPI mode.

so any ideas ;)

thankz
