SKylal
I have an AMD laptop (AMD A10 processor) and I am trying to install macos sierra on vmware as in this video I see the error 'The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. Power off or reset the virtual machine.' -http://prntscr.com/edh4tr Im guessing "http://www.insanelym...pic/?p=2309335"this could solve the problem, but I cant seem to figure out how to use the 'kernels' attached in the linked post. Is this just for hackintoshes? Is there a way I can use macos on AMD based machines (via VMware, hackintoshes are too complex for someone like me who doesnt even know to format/reinstall windows)? Could anyone help a noob out?

Mundane1026
Sorry guys. I've been busy lately but I'll go right ahead and make a vmdk file for you. You will just need to set the proper settings on VMware to run the HD file.

waskosky
Can i also have a copy please, Thank You I am also interested, has everyone here gotten this going already? I was assuming this would be also posted somewhere else by now but was surprised at the challenge involved finding an AMD 10.12 version. I could provide FTP credentials to a bittorent "seedbox" host if we need an easier way to make these more widely available.

frakman1
Hi guys, I need some help please. I am using VMWare Workstation 12.1.1. on a Windows 64bit PC with a AMD Phenom II x4 975 with 16GB RAM. The VM is "macOS Sierra v10.12 (16A323) Multilingual Image For VMware [sadeemPC]". I ran the unlocker "win-install.cmd" which allowed me to select the Guest OS of "Apple Mac OS X" version OS X 10.11 When I bootup the VM, I get the message: "The firmware encountered an unexpected exception. The virtual machine cannot boot.". There are no further logs. Do you have any idea what to do? I recall earlier AMD Mac VMs had some sort of AMD-specific .nvram file. Is that needed here too? joshuac_ms
Hi, I found a tutorial article here, https://www.pcsteps.com/2157-mac-os-x-virtual-machine-vmware-player/ You may find it useful. However, luck is not on my side. Still trying on my PC: MSI 760GMA-P34FX + FX6100
Mundane1026
hey Guys, I'm really sorry for the delay. I had to replace my notebook and had to start from scratch. Right now I'm working on my guide to help you load Sierra on VMWare. I had to start from scratch and this is a preview of me running the most recent updated Sierra 10.12.6. I had to reload the OS from scratch. Right now I'm Running it on 40GB HD file and so far everything is working fine. l will shortly load the VMDK file to my dropbox and mega account.
reelwolf
Hey Mundane, how's it coming along? Would you mind sharing the steps with us what to do? I would prefer to learn how to actually do this kind of stuff myself and not have to rely on an vmdk every time Appe updates the OS. Thanks.

Mundane1026
Unfortunately, the issue does persist for 10.12 this is a known issues for AMD CPUS and no work around. Please give me time, i'm gathering all my files and creating a guide to help you load the OS from scratch. I have sent each one of you an IM with the link to get the VMDK file. if you have not received it, let me know if you still need the file and ill resend it to you.
