Luminaire
I've heard a lot of people thinking "why the hell can't I use parallels?", and I've got the answer. The problem is this: The moment you start the installer, you get a message "Your system does not meet the requirements." And it's really simple, you're not running on a Genuine Intel. Luckily, there's also an easy solution. Copy the "Parallels.pkg" to your desktop. Right click it, then select "Show package contents" from the list. In the newly created finder window, click inside contents. Open up "info.plist" In here, search for these lines " <key>TestObject</key> <string>GenuineIntel</string> " And, well, remove them. Save the document, you'll get promped that it's a read-only file, but you don't care. So click on, and you're done! I hope this helped some people. Luminaire
Wow, that is not only similar, it's pretty much the same ^^. Still, I searched. Nothing turned up. Guess it's bump worthy.
