Well you can also do Sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/ Sudo kextcache -boot -u / This is not for 10.11 and up
hannele2
Ran into some booting problems. But unfortunately I think this was a step back. Now I can't see the output devices at all anymore. I don't know what to do with this now.... I don't know what stealsyourpizza did to make them appear before... Maybe I need to try to install whatever he installed.... ? Please write if anything comes to mind, Dwarfy.... Need to do some others stuff now - I'll check back in later
Dwarfy
Well now you can use the vanilla method of getting audio. Just inject 1 in clover config.plist and add applealc.kext to kext folder in EFIClover/Kext/10.10 I will link Stealsyourpizza to this thread when he gets online.
hannele2
I learned something from trying it anyway.... You never know what's going to work... I'll just settle for anything that will give me some sound in the headphones.... Without it Mac isn't much fun..... Everything else is working fine now.... Just some very minor snags left apart fro m the audio

Please can you help me with some easy steps since I still don't really know my way around Mac. 1) How do I access EFI/Clover/Kext/10.10 in Mac? I don't see it in the Finder. 2) Exactly where and how do I "Inect 1 into clover config.plist"?

I don't see it in the Finder. 2) Exactly where and how do I "Inect 1 into clover config.plist"? 1) Download Clover Configurator, and launch it Go to "Mount EFI" then "Check Partition" look at your EFI partition identifier (eg. Disk0s1) then "Mount EFI Partition" select your EFI partition identifier then "Open Partition" 2) Navigate to EFI/Clover right click on the config.plist open with Clover Configurator go to Devices section you will see Audio write 1 in the text field Bottom left corner "export"
